Westmoreland exhibit explores artist's talent in capturing Pittsburgh's steel heyday

"Monongahela Steel Mills and Barges" is a 1912 painting by industrial artist Aaron Gorson. It is part of the Westmoreland Museum of American Art’s feature gallery, "Works by Aaron Gorson, Words by Maxwell King."

Artist Aaron Gorson came to Pittsburgh as a portrait painter in the early 20th century. But a trip to the city’s Bluff neighborhood changed all that.
