Westmoreland County residents attend concealed carry seminar, obtain gun permits

The seminar was hosted for the first time by state Sen. Kim Ward and drew a crowd of about 120 participants. Residents also had the opportunity to apply for or renew their concealed carry permits.

As presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg prepares to air an $11 million Super Bowl commercial touting gun control, more than 100 Westmoreland County residents who want to legally carry a gun in public came out Saturday to learn how.
