Warehouse Clerk – Purchasing Department

Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Warehouse Clerk in the Purchasing Department.  The purpose of the position is to fulfill and process orders, accept incoming shipments, and oversee the general organization of the warehouse. Job duties include but are not limited to:Operate and maintain the warehouse within the Purchasing Department. Clean and organize as required.Process and deliver purchase orders for the various departments.Unload merchandise from the trucks and check to ensure they match with the delivery documents such as the bill of lading, shipping invoice, or delivery note.Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders.Assist with picking up all incoming mail from the Greensburg post office daily; receive outgoing mail from all County departments. Distribute all incoming mail as well as determine appropriate postage and/or forms needed for all outgoing mail.Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with one to two years storeroom or similar experience. Knowledge of USPS rates, rules and regulations.
