Unity woman's angel food cake snags red ribbon at Pa. Farm Show

An angel food cake baked by Abigail Mehalic, 36, of Unity won second place at the 2022 Pennsylvania Farm Show. The almond angel food cake with a layer of strawberry jam was covered with almond buttercream icing and garnished with strawberries and toasted almonds.

A Greater Latrobe teacher brought home a second-place award from the Pennsylvania Farm Show this week with a specialty that has been a mainstay in her family — angel food cake.
