Stimulus bill could bring money to expand high-speed internet in Westmoreland

A woman works on the computer at the Adams Memorial Library in Latrobe, on Jan. 23, 2020. The library was the first in Westmoreland County to receive broadband internet, and now with their fiber optics, are getting upload and download speeds above 400Mbps.

Officials with the Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland County say the region is on track for growth in the coming year, with the expansion of high-speed internet access a top priority.
