QA/Training Instructor

Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety / 9-1-1 Center is accepting applications for the position of QA / Training Instructor. This position is responsible for monitoring and effectively managing telecommunication officer training classes, QA standards and applications, certifying or recertifying staff on numerous credentials, mentoring trainee staff and more essential functions. As a member of the 9-1-1 center team, it is essential to understand emergency situations, requires excellent communication skills, ability to handle stressful situations, and overall understanding of the emergency systems. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Applicants with prior Police, Fire, or EMS communications experience or prior military service are encouraged to apply, however this background is not mandatory. Successful applicants must pass an oral interview, background check and drug screening to be considered.

Westmoreland County Residency Policy requires that all employees become residents of the County within 180 days of the start of employment and maintain residency throughout employment. Applications are being accepted through email and hard copies can be forwarded to address listed below.
