Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Project Manager for our Department of Human Services. The purpose of this position is to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for various projects across the entire department, work collaboratively with departmental leadership to ensure that projects are aligned with the DHS’s mission and vision, lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals and objectives, manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation plans, develop and deliver regular project status reports to departmental leadership and other stakeholders, along with other job duties as directed.Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent experience is accepted. Project management experience, preferably in a large, complex organization is preferred. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. They will have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams. The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization is essential.
