The County of Westmoreland Behavioral Health & Developmental Services Department is seeking a hard-working individual with attention to detail to join us as a County Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist. Put your analytical skills to use and further expand your knowledge within Westmoreland County. DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a County Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist, you will be responsible for the County ID (Intellectual Disabilities) Program’s Compliance. This includes the review, analysis, evaluation, monitoring, and coordination of community ID programs. Work is performed under the direction of the ID Program Director and is reviewed on an ongoing regular basis and annual reviews. You will have the opportunity to complete annual training to further your knowledge to ensure efficiency of daily operations. Duties involve:Ensuring implementation of the rules, regulations, program policies and objectives, and assisting in oversight of the delivery of servicesProviding technical assistance to providers including but not limited to program planning, development, implementation, and coordinationPreparing and reviewing necessary reports and documents according to the appropriate County, State and Federal policies and regulationsMaintaining accurate and complete consumer recordsPlanning and developing new initiatives, programs, policies and procedures.Individual Supports Plan (ISP) process:Reviewing and authorizing ISP submitted materials and information required in the State HCSiS data system.Tracking of accurate content which involves technical assistance for the Supports Coordinators (SC’s)Adaptive Behavior Assessment System (ABAS):Monitoring, collecting, tracking and follow-up of the entire process.Incident/Risk Management (utilization of the Enterprise Incident Management or EIM system):Monitoring and overseeing the State ID Incident tracking system of individuals enrolled in Washington County during investigations.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Occasional need to work or attend meetings after hours or on weekends. Compensation provided.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. The teleworking schedule is to be determined among the Developmental Services unit in order to ensure adequate coverage in the office for this unit. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Greensburg.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor’s degree; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
