POSITION: Probation Officer I LOCATION: Westmoreland County Adult Probation and Parole PAY RATE: Starting wage is $20.91 per hour ($40,776.87 per year) as per the union contract. JOB DUTIES: The purpose of this position is to supervise offenders, enforce court orders, provide counseling and other services as required, conduct investigations and prepare reports for the Court. The attached document includes a more detailed description of the job duties and responsibilities. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree is required. Additionally, at least one year of experience in probation and parole, social work or other related field is preferred. Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
