Operations Manager – Juvenile Services Center

Westmoreland County Juvenile Services Center is looking to fill the role of Operations manager. Responsibilities include appropriate supervisor, coordinator, and implementation of staff and resident activities and functions. The Operations manager will ensure safety and security in the facility, enforce rules and regulations, ensures records and files are updated and maintained for all staff and residents. This position is a level of managements and will be required to enforce youth shelter rules, implement reinforcement of positive youth behavior, discipline negative youth actions through verbal orders, use of behavior modification program, problem solving, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention.   Qualifications: Candidate must possess an Associate degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Administration of Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or a related field. Have a minimum of two years’ social service experience or a combination of education and experience.  Candidate must have the ability to read and follow directions, protocols, and procedures. Ability to use a variety of trained crisis intervention techniques to physically manage an acute acting out youth appropriately, safely, and securely. Candidate must have and maintain a current valid Pennsylvania’s Driver’s license.
