Operations Coordinator- Department of Human Services

Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Operations Coordinator – DHS.  The Operations Coordinator is a pivotal role within the Department of Human Services (DHS), primarily focused on overseeing and enhancing departmental operations.   This position involves managing a wide range of operational activities critical to the efficient functioning of DHS, including the supervision of social media and communication efforts, as well as the administration of the DHS Director’s Hotline.  The DHS Operations Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring seamless internal coordination, fostering external communication, and facilitating the achievement of DHS’s operational objectives.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational procedures and workflows to enhance departmental efficiency.Manage departmental resources, including personnel, budgets, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive social media strategies to promote DHS programs and activities.Direct the day-to-day operations of the DHS Director’s Hotline, ensuring timely and accurate responses to the inquiries and concerns.Serve as a liaison between departmental teams, fostering communication and collaboration to ensure that operational goals are met.Ensure that all departmental operations adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and quality standards.Prepare comprehensive reports on departmental operations, including performance metrics, achievements, and challenges.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a government or social services setting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for process optimization.Excellent organizational and project management abilities.Proficiency in communication tools and social media platforms.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Exceptional interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Applications, resumes, cover letters, and salary requirements should be sent to:Human Resources Department2 N.
