Network Administrator – Information Systems

Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Network Administrator in the Department of Information Systems.  The purpose of this position is to maintain and support network connectivity among all County offices; to install, configure, and update various hardware and software related to the County’s network infrastructure; to assist technical support in the trouble shooting or repair of network related hardware and software; to assist in the capacity planning and implementation of changes to the County’s network infrastructure.Other duties include attending meetings, training, and seminars. Assist other IS staff as needed. Perform other job-related duties as required. Report directly to the Senior Network Administrator.Requirements for this position are an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science/Network Engineering or related field. Knowledge with Cisco networking and VOIP phone systems desired. Minimum 3 years’ network security experience in an environment with more than 1000+ users.County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment.
