Compensation
Contract for reimbursement at rate of $62.50 per case plus road tolls, parking and mileage. The Mental Health Review Officer (MHRO) is reimbursed at the rate of $45.00 per hour for “in-court” services, e.g. when the MHRO’s presence in court is requested by the judge.
Job Duties
Preside over hearings as permitted under Pennsylvania’s Mental Health Procedures Act, including hearings for involuntary commitment and hearings pursuant to sections 303, 304B, 304C, 305, and 306 of the Mental Health Procedures Act. May be required to preside over mental health hearings for inpatient individuals at Westmoreland Excela Hospital, Allegheny Valley Hospital, and Mon Valley Hospital as well as Torrance State Hospital Civil and Forensic Units, Wesley Family Outpatient Services, ACT, LTSR and Westmoreland Excela Hospital Outpatient.
