Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Maintenance Worker III in the Public Works Department. The purpose of the position is to perform maintenance on the Courthouse grounds and equipment.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Operate a variety of motor vehicles including tractors, loader, backhoes, pickup and dump trucks, mowers, etc. with a standard transmission.
Ability to use mechanical, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other tools, including power tools.
Ability to perform general building and grounds maintenance, maintain plumbing and electrical systems and vehicles.
Ability to complete landscaping, masonry, construction and other projects as required.
Work effectively outdoors under varying weather conditions.
Must be high school graduate with three to five years in construction, maintenance, or similar experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must be able to use electric weld and use Acetylene/oxygen torch.
County residency must be established within 180 day and maintained throughout employment. Applications should be sent to:
