Maintenance Worker II, variable shifts – Westmoreland Manor

Westmoreland Manor is seeking applicants for the position of Maintenance Worker II for the Variable shift, at the rate of $15.45 per hour. The purpose of this position is to perform general building and grounds maintenance. Job duties include, but are not limited to:Performing general building maintenanceOpening clogged sinks, drains, and toilets and performing plumbing repairsRepairing wheelchairs, beds, vacuum cleaners and other equipmentChanging light bulbs and repairing light fixturesPainting patient rooms and other areasReplacing tiles and bricksMaintaining smoke detectorsPerforming general grounds maintenance (boilerhouse equipment upkeep, snow removal, grass cutting, leaf clean-up, road maintenance, etc.)Successful candidates should possess:A high diploma, GED, or equivalent and ability to read, write and follow instructions and learn work routine.2 years previous experience involving CII (Commercial, Institutional, Industrial) experience in at least 2 building trades, such as electrical and mechanical or 3 years equivalent training/experience.Knowledge of the use of equipment and procedures used in grounds maintenance.Ability to lift 100 pounds or more and carry for considerable distance.Ability to maneuver weights in excess of 400 pounds with use of dolly.Must have a current valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and have ability to obtain Pennsylvania Class II Driver’s License.Ability to perform work indoors and outdoors.Successful completion of Westmoreland Manor maintenance worker assessment, both physical and written portions.Previous experience in a long term care facility preferred.
