Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Maintenance Superintendent for the Westmoreland County Prison. The purpose of this position is to oversee the maintenance of buildings and grounds and to ensure optimal safety and cleanliness while directing and managing the maintenance department. Some of essential functions are to coordinate activities of inmate work detail, maintain the mechanical system, and ensure operations of the environment systems.
Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent, Associates degree preferred. Must have 3-5 years of facility maintenance/ grounds management experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. Must be willing to complete and pass training at PA Department of Corrections Basic Training Academy.
County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment.
