Local Government Coordinator

The Westmoreland County Department of Planning and Development is seeking applicants for the entry-level position of a Local Government Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to facilitate the implementation of the County’s Community Development Block Grant Program in conjunction with eligible County municipalities and administer various Community Development activities undertaken by the County to ensure that Federal and State Compliance Regulations and Environmental practices and other requirements are met.

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/Community Development or related field, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Applicant must possess excellent communication skills. See position description for more details.

Salary is $39,498.92 plus excellent benefits package. 37.5 hour work week, 13 paid holidays.
County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment.
