Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Licensing Clerk for the Register of Wills office. The purpose of the position is to assists with administrative functions of the Register of Wills office Job duties include but are not limited to:Processes and schedules registers hearingProbating wills, opening estates and reviewing and processing proper estate documents, including swearing-in of Executors or Administrators, issuing official Short Certificates and Grant of Letters.Processing all appropriate documentation relating to EstatesIntake and processing of marriage licensesProcesses adoption filings, related paperwork and final decrees.Facilitates the execution of Probate on Estate Administration.Answers telephone inquiries and directs issues to proper employees for resolution.Compensation for this position is $17.32/hour plus benefits. High school diploma or equivalent plus, 3-6 month experience in an office environment, or any acceptable combination of experience and training.
