As a Juvenile Service Worker, you will be responsible for the safety and welfare of residents of the Westmoreland County Juvenile Detention Center. Responsibilities include appropriate supervision, coordinating, and implementing resident activities and functions. The position will implement reinforcement of positive youth behavior and enforce facility rules.Qualifications:Candidate must have and maintain a current valid Pennsylvania’s Driver’s license. Regulations require candidate must be twenty-one years of age. Current FBI, State Police, and DPW Child Abuse Clearances will be required.Candidate must possess an Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related field. A minimum of one (1) year experience in childcare, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the ability to physically restrain delinquent youths as needed.County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment.
