LocationJuvenile Probation Office and Westmoreland County CourthousePay RateNon Union Pay grade XD-1; $52,770.97Job DutiesConducts quasi-judicial hearings for dependency and delinquency cases, including ruling on objections, making determinations as to credibility, and admitting documents into evidence.  Prepares, dictates, and files findings of fact, recommendations, and orders for the court ensuring that all local, state and federal requirements are met. Conducts custody conciliation conferences as needed and issues recommended Orders. Confers with judges, attorneys, and Children’s Bureau officials as required.Job QualificationsJuris Doctor Degree and licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and at least three years of legal experience focused on criminal law, juvenile law, family law or that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Thorough knowledge of applicable statutes, rules, regulations, and case law.
