IS Specialist Trainee – Westmoreland Manor

Westmoreland Manor is seeking applicants for an IS Specialist Trainee for the 8AM-4PM shift at the rate of $20.86 per hour!This position requires the ability to be comfortable wearing proper PPE on-unit and in facility, as well as (but not included to):Ability to configure, install and support personal computers and servers, both physical and virtual, on a countywide Windows network using DNS, WINS and DHCP.  Ability to install and configure various personal computer software packages including Microsoft Office, Adobe, Symantec CE, Client Access (to communicate to the IBM AS/400 using IP), etc.Ability to setup departmental network with printer shares, directory shares and system policy editor; verify equipment deliveries with purchase orders and maintain inventory system.Ability to provide support to 3rd party vendor packages; assist with training/support of hosted application packages, and tailor applications for specific needs using an application template.Checking TELS system daily for IT issues for resolution.  Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, plus a general understanding of networking, common networking technology, programming, and information security best practices; as well as a certificate or Associates degree with technical training in information technology or a related field.
