Irwin cops take turn as baristas

Officer Tom Carnahan mixes ingredients for a special latte Thursday night at Cheesecake Caffe in Irwin for the ‘Lattes With Law Enforcement’ fundraiser for the borough’s police department. Three officers of the department, Cody Stanoszek, Eric Ziska and Carnahan, were making special drinks while Chief Dan Wensel was mingling with guests. Caroline Lewis, Cheesecake Caffe owner, said about 210 people attended the three-hour event. A percentage of the sales will be donated to the police department.

The owner of a boutique bakery in Irwin and borough police participated in a fundraiser with a caffeinated kick on Thursday.
