Information Technology (Temp) Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for a temp position within the County’s Information Systems Department. The selected applicant for this position will transition to the Manager of Social Communications role, pending performance evaluation, after the current manager retires. Expected timeframe is Q4 of this year.Primary job duties of this position will be to manage and maintain all web content on the County’s hosted website and to develop and moderate social media content for the County’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, ‘X’, LinkedIn.[RS1] ). Further duties of the position are to monitor citizen engagement and interact with social media posts, collaborate with departments to ensure digital web content is informative and appealing, and ensure current social media strategy aligns with current County goals, values and views.Successful candidate shall possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Digital Media, Marketing, Communication, or related field with 3 years of experience and working knowledge of social media platforms or equivalent combination of education and experience; 2 years of management experience preferred.
