Westmoreland Manor is seeking applicants for the position of Infection Preventionist /QAPI Supervisor. The purpose of this position is to supervise the QAPI program as well as leading the facility in the development of infection control policies and procedures to ensure the safety of residents, employees, and visitors of Westmoreland Manor.
As the Infection Preventionist, you will be responsible for implementing facility-wide infection prevention programs while ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies. You will instruct staff and medical team on proper infection prevention procedures, conduct rounds, investigate infection prevention problems, and collect any necessary data in order to ensure best practices with the infection prevention programs and policies following the Core Elements of Antibiotic Stewardship set forth by the CDC. You will be responsible for presenting facility statistics and trends at the Infection Control quarterly meeting, which you will facilitate.
In the role of the QAPI Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality assurance and performance improvement activities as well as facilitating the quarterly Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement meeting.
Qualified Applicants must possess:
Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, three (3) or more years nursing of experience (infection control or long-term care preferred). Must also possess and maintain a current valid registration with Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners, CHRI check done within one year period or have the ability to obtain one. Experience with Point Click Care preferred as is the ability to gather and analyze data proficiently.
