Westmoreland Manor is seeking applicants for the In-Service Instructor position. Job duties include: orientation and training of all new nursing employees, lead RN for assigned initiatives and program implementation, reviews, revises and ensures policies, and develops, presents, and schedules continuing education and provides re-education (knowledge deficit or disciplinary action) for licensed staff and CNAs. Administers, maintains and revises competencies as needed. Compliance with all Federal and State regulations is expected.
Requires ability to work flexible schedule as in-services are required for all shifts.
In addition, the In-Service Instructor will cross train in the RN supervisor position and provide coverage as needed.
Excellent communication and computer skills required.
A sensitivity to and knowledge of a geriatric population is a must.
Applicants must have three (3) to five (5) years of progressive nursing experience in a long term care setting, and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent knowledge skills and abilities with valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License.
