Grants Coordinator I – Department of Planning and Development

Westmoreland County Department of Planning and Development is seeking applicants for a Grants Coordinator  position.  The purpose of the position is to assist with the administration and implementation of federal and non-federal community development related grants and programs.  The Grants Coordinator I  reports directly to the  Deputy Director of the Community Development  Department.   The position responsibility is to assist the Fiscal Director with various budgets and accounting obligations within the department to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements.  Also, assist with the implementation of the County’s Community Development Block Grant Program, the HOME Program, and other programs to assure they are in compliance with established laws and guidelines.   Successful candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Planning, Human/Social Services, Accounting, Political Science, or a related field.  Relevant work experience, and/or Master’s degree is preferred and must possess excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
