Grandma's cookie jars: Nostalgic trend making a sweet comeback

The first cookie jars resembled the blue one on the right and originated in England to store biscuits. The cookie jar on the left is known as the Roly Poly Preacher and is from the 1940s. Both are at On the Diamond Antiques in Ligonier.

Lifting the lid and reaching in to sneak a cookie from a cookie jar is a childhood memory for many.
