Westmoreland Manor is seeking applicants for two full-time Recreation (Floor) Aides in the Recreation Department at the starting rate of $15.45 per hour. Job duties include but are not limited to conducting a variety of therapeutic and diversional activities for residents, documenting resident daily participation and progress, and file patient progress sheets as required.
This position requires the ability to work one-on-one and in groups with individuals with behaviors and/or dementia to provide redirection and engaging activities.
Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent and have previous experience in Occupational Therapy and/or Recreation Therapy. Experience in dementia and long-term care preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively and conduct a variety of diverse and therapeutic activities. Must maintain resident’s activities charts and do heavy lifting as required.
Must also be able to type at least 30 wpm; typing test to be given at facility. County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment.
