Westmoreland County Commissioners on 11-15-2018 have lifted the residency requirement for employment at the Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety / 911 Center.
Experienced Telecommunication Officer Opportunity
For experienced Telecommunication Officers that meet or exceed the following requirements, you may be eligible for an accelerated training program. Candidates that meet these requirements will be capable of joining the Westmoreland staff at a full time status. Starting Telecommunication Officer pay rate is $18.35 / hr with all benefits related to a full time status. The accelerated class will be exempt from 911 introductory examination and is subject to a 6-8 week intense training class to learn Westmoreland County specific information. Candidates not meeting these requirements will be proceed with the original training program.
Exemption Requirements:
Two years dispatching experience at full time status within the past five years
IAED ETC or APCO certified
CLEAN / NCIC certified
Interview / Employee Evaluations during training
