Election Warehouse Manager

Westmoreland County is hiring an Election Warehouse Manager. The overall objective of the job is to coordinate the testing, maintenance and operations of the electronic voting equipment. To maintain, package and deliver voting equipment and supplies to polling locations, and to assist the Director of Elections.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assists the Director and Voting system Coordinator with pre-and post-election procedures, purchasing equipment, delivering supplies, equipment maintenance.
Supervises the purchase of election supplies.
Directs employees accountable for the care, maintenance and working order of voting equipment.Resolves hardware/software program failures on voting machines and reports them to Director of Elections.
Locates and obtains voting locations for all precincts, prepares necessary documentation and negotiates payment for facility.
Determines the accessibility of polling locations to meet Federal requirements, makes necessary adjustments to meet voter needs.

Maps and travels to voting locations to ensure facilities fall within the proper location and precinct.
Must be able to perform job duties with Microsoft Office Modules.

Coordinates schedules and performs all voter outreach programs.
Will be required to assist in processing mail and ballots during busy election season.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works indoors in open office/warehouse space with adequate lighting, temperature and ventilation.

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:
1 Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the work day with intermittent periods of sitting and walking.
2 Must be able to execute occasional periods of bending, stooping kneeling, twisting and reaching to carry out job duties.
3 Some lifting up to 50lbs.
4 Must possess the ability to record, convey and present information, explain procedures and
follow instructions.

Applicants must have a high school diploma with 2 – 4 years work experience. County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment.
