Driver clung to tree 'for dear life' after turnpike crash in Mt. Pleasant Township, fire chief says

Pieces of SUV that crashed over a hillside along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Mt. Pleasant Monday were still scattered over the embankment Tuesday morning. The driver clung to a tree after being ejected until firefighters arrived, according to Mt. Pleasant Fire Chief Jerry Lucia.

A Butler area man was “holding on for dear life” to tree branches Monday night along the Pennsylvania Turnpike after being ejected from his SUV that launched over a hillside after crashing in Mt. Pleasant Township, borough fire Chief Jerry Lucia said.
