Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Purchasing. This position is to direct, supervise and monitor the County’s Purchasing and General Services Departments and to ensure compliance with federal, state and county regulations. Job duties include developing and implementing County purchasing procedures while ensuring procurement of high quality goods and services for the lowest cost. In addition, they will be approving and processing purchase requisitions after reviewing for accuracy and adherence to all County policies and requirements, processing office supply orders including requesting and reviewing of proposals, researching products via internet and maintaining delivery schedules, oversees the print shop; monitors all print shops requests and final product for quality, and accuracy.Applicants must have three (3) years purchasing experience, with 1-3 years supervisory experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or a related field, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.Resumes, cover letters, and salary requirements should be sent to:Human Resources2 N.
