DHS – Director of Data AnalyticsWestmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Data Analytics in the Department of Human Services. This position has a primary responsibility of leading the development of data integration strategies and implementation plans for the IDMS (Integrated Data Management System) project, overseeing all activities and ensuring alignment with the organization’s vision and objectives. Key Responsibilities:Manage a team of data analysts and technical staff, providing oversight, guidance, and support.Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of data systems, dashboards and visualizations for all DHS stakeholders.Collaborate with department heads to understand data needs and ensure effective integration.Provide thought leadership and acts as a subject matter expert in the designing and recommending of appropriate analytical approaches of methodology in addressing key issues within the organization.Responsible for driving departmental culture and promoting data-driven decision making, consumer driven analytics across the organization. Qualifications:Master’s degree in data science, computer science, or related field required: ORBachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, or related field and 10 – 15 years of experience.Proven experience in leading data integration projects.Strong leadership and team management skills.Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software.Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form.Detailed oriented, be comfortable working in a collaborative setting, self-motivated and be a creative, strategic, and independent thinker.
