Derry’s Fulton House gets a ‘new’ floor that’s older than the building itself

Derry Area Historical Society member Bill Snyder is pictured inside the doorway of the Fulton House in Derry Township on Thursday<ins>,</ins><ins> July 10, </ins><ins>2025</ins>. Snyder donated his labor to lay floorboards inside the inn’s entrance room. The floorboards were salvaged from the historic Guthrie House, which is no longer standing.

Visitors who step inside Derry Township’s restored 1817 Fulton House will be walking on a piece of history that is old, but also new.
