Data Analyst – Department of Human Services

Westmoreland County Department of Human Services is seeking applicants for the position of Data Analyst.  This position is responsible for collaborating with department representatives to gather data requirements and ensure accurate integration of the IDMS (Integrated Data Management System) project.  This position also works in developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.  Job duties include but are not limited to:Cleanse, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources into the IDMS.Develop and maintain database and data systems – reorganizing data in readable format.Monitor data quality and address any anomalies or inconsistencies.Provide data-driven insights to support departmental vision, mission, and objectives.Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.Removes corrupted data and fixes coding errors and related problems.Uses automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.Prepares reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field required.Experience in data development, manipulation, transformation, integration and analysis.Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques.Detailed-oriented with strong analytical skills. Resumes, cover letters, and applications should be sent to:Human Resources Department2 North Main Street, Suite 108Greensburg, Pa 15601Or me be emailed to: employment@co.westmoreland.pa.us Emailed applications must place DHS-Data Analyst in subject line.Westmoreland County is an equal opportunity employer.
