County Social Services Aide 2- Children's Bureau

THE POSITION:Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau is seeking diligent, friendly, and companionate applicants for multiple case aide positions that are looking for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Westmoreland County children.  Case aides support caseworkers in the agency by completing work related to collateral phone calls, home visits, foster care visits, transportation, family finding, filing, organization of donations, and other general office work.  Case Aides work closely with their units and are vital to the success of the agency’s mission.  Individuals interested in pursuing a career in the field of child welfare should follow the following steps: Go to the State Employment website at www.employment.pa.gov and choose “Open Jobs”Search “Westmoreland County Case Aide” and if we have case aide positions we are actively hiring for, you’ll see them listed under “County Social Service Aide 2- (Local Govermnent) – Westmoreland County C&Y”.  If not, please check back later.Click the position, then click “Apply”.Follow the instructions for each application.Interested individuals are also asked to submit a resume and county application to the Westmoreland County Human Resources Department, even a position isn’t currently postedMinimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a County Social Services Aide 1; orGraduation from high school, or its equivalency, and two years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency which included one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information; orAn associate’s degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.
