Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Community Relations Specialist on behalf of the Department of Community Relations and Prevention. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with community partners and stakeholders, and for conducting outreach and education on behalf of the DCRP. The Specialist will work collaboratively with other DCRP staff, as well as with other DHS departments, to ensure that services are provided in compliance with state and federal regulations.Key Responsibilities:Conduct outreach and education on behalf of the DCRP, including presentations, workshops, and other events.Collaborate with other DHS departments to integrate services and improve outcomes for Westmoreland County residents.Assist in the development and implementation of the DCRP’s programs and services, including opioid prevention, community outreach and education, communicable disease prevention, and homelessness prevention and assistance.Provide support to the DCRP Director as needed.Participate in meetings with other agencies, organizations, and stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach or related field.Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to human services.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.Ability to work collaboratively with other DHS departments.Applications, resumes, cover letters, and salary requirements should be sent to:Human Resources Department 2 N.
