The Position- Clerk Typist 1Do you have a passion for helping children and families within your community? The Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clerk Typist to complete our team. Our mission is to protect children from abuse and neglect, preserve families whenever possible, and to ensure that every child under our care and supervision has a safe, stable and permanent home in which to grow. Bring your skills and ambition to our department!Description of WorkIn this role, you will be focusing on general office and administrative duties. Effective communication is key as you will be greeting visitors, directing Individuals to proper office locations, taking information, as well as screening and routing telephone calls. You will be required to maintain an organized office and have the ability to multi-task to maintain efficiency of daily operations. Duties include, but may not be limited to:Typing documents from handwritten draftProofreading documents to ensure accuracyFiling and retrieving documents alphabetically, numerically, or chronologicallyRecording the amount, type, disposition, and number of incoming or outgoing mail, forms, documents, or phone callsOpening and sorting mailReceiving applications, documents, forms, and fees directly from the public and screening, sorting, and assembling for further processingHow to Apply:Link to applicattionResumes, cover letters, and similar documents will not be reviewed, and the Information contained therein will not be considered for the purposes of determining your eligibility for the position.
