CAD Specialist

Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety / 9-1-1 Center is accepting applications for the position of CAD Specialist.  This position is responsible for the management, development and modernization of all computer hardware, software and technical development in relation to the 911 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and other systems as assigned.   This position requires excellent organizational, planning, technical skills, ability to handle stressful situations, positive customer service attitude, computer information systems and ability to research and develop future technological programs.  Classroom training and web-based lessons will be incorporated into the training for this position as necessary.  Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and a minimum educational standards in the job description.  Applicants with prior Police, Fire, or EMS communications experience or prior military service are encouraged to apply, however this background is not mandatory.Westmoreland County Residency Policy mandates the selected candidate has one year to move into the County for this opportunity.
