Bookkeeper trainee- Clerk of CourtsWestmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Bookkeeper trainee for the Westmoreland County Clerk of Courts.  The purpose of this position is to maintain financial records, to receive fines, court costs, restitution payments and bonds; to issue receipts, post to accounts; to provide customer service, answer telephones, process window and telephone payments.Job duties include but are not limited to: Answer phone calls related to court costs, fines and restitution.Assist Probation with payments and payment plans.Process multiple forms of paymentProvide customer service to crime victims.Provide Westmoreland County Prison with inmates updated balances.Bookkeeping fees for which the position is responsible: Crime Victims Compensation Drug TestingAdmin FeeBond Filing FeeCost of ProsecutionCounty FineCrimes CodeHearing CostsTrial FeeBench Warrant FeeTransportation FeeExtradition Substance Abuse EducationWitness FeeApplicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent with two years of clerical  experience, one year of which shall have included responsibility for maintaining routine financial records.
