Assistant Director of Financial Administration

Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Financial Administration in the Financial Department. Job duties include but are not limited to budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting, assisting and preparing financial documents for public meetings, training staff on budget process and proper accounting procedures, reviewing and approving invoices for payment, assuring compliance with all federal, state and local accounting principles, procedures and financial record-keeping requirements, and serves as a backup to the Director of Financial Administration.Applicants must have a Bachelors or 4-year degree in business management, accounting or related fields. Governmental accounting preferred.   Three years of experience in finance/accounting field required; supervisory experience in any financial/bookkeeping environment; or any acceptable equivalent combination of education and training.County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment.
