American wagyu proves popular with Crabtree butcher, though some have beef with price

American wagyu — a cross between Japanese wagyu and U.S. beef cattle — is being sold at Bardine’s Country Smokehouse at $50 per pound. Purebred Japanese wagyu, largely considered one of the best cuts of meat available, can cost up to $200 per pound.
