Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety / 9-1-1 Center is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant / Assistant Public Information Officer. This position is responsible for all administrative duties within the Department of Public Safety, which includes but not limited to, the 911 Center, Hazardous Materials and Emergency Management.
This position requires excellent organizational skills, ability to handle stressful situations, positive customer service attitude, basic budgetary understanding, financial knowledge and overall understanding of the office related functions (please see full posting for all details). Applicants will be required to serve as a backup to the Public Information Officer and learn their duties and responsibilities. Classroom training and web-based lessons will be incorporated into the training for this position. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and a minimum of a high school diploma.
