As an Accountant I, you will perform beginning level professional work in accounting, auditing, or examining of records, transactions, and procedures in order to assure the maintenance of full accounting records of expenses/revenues submitted by service providers of the BH/DS program, i.e., assure we have all records of billings and accuracy of same and that all miscellaneous reports (such as State Form 15As, 17As, 18s, CEO Certifications, etc.) have been submitted and inputted by fiscal staff. You will also analyze monthly submission of payables/personnel reports submitted for accuracy and adjustments. Directs provider on errors and requests corrected data.This position also accesses the County New World accounting system general ledger to prepare monthly journal entries of payroll and cash receipts to post in BH/DS Horizon Accounting system, and coordinates the preparation of the annual Income and Expenditure Report/County Human Services Block Grant Report including completion of State DHS forms by each provider agency.
