Retired Seton Hill organist, instructor gets honorary degree from university

Edgar Highberger of Greensburg, retired music professor and organist at Seton Hill University, receives an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree during a ceremony at the university’s Greensburg campus. From left, Kellee Van Aken, dean of the School of Visual and Performing Arts, and university President Mary Finger help him don a doctoral hood.

Edgar Highberger’s lifelong love of the organ continues to bring him joy in listening to the playing of many of the former students he guided as an associate professor of music at Seton Hill University.
