Laurel Valley Ambulance station in New Florence station was closed by Fayette EMS due to financial troubles. The Connellsville-based ambulance service had operated the ambulance service since 2007. Dec. 6, 2019

A rural ambulance company abruptly closed this week, catching many residents in northeastern Westmoreland County by surprise and leaving some on edge.
